You cannot use a light switch to turn the main power off to the transformer instead of the switch because the unit doesn't have a memory. You have to use the sensor every time.

Very good functional product. The quality seems good to me and no problem at the moment. Much more profitable to buy this than several transators and LED headband

They shine much more than I thought, the only detail is the touch switch; it doesn't work well if you put it on 3/4 melamine, it barely recognizes it... you have to tap the wood. It is made for plywood or any wood but 1/2 thick... maybe 5/8 also works but definitely not for 3/4.
